COVER CASE BIND
In book publishing, a term used to describe a book encased with heavy chip board that
is covered with vinyl, leather, paper, or fabric.
LIMP BIND
Fold printed sheets into signatures, thread sewn and make into book block. Then draw on cover and secure with glue.
PERFECT BIND / NOTCH BIND
Soft binding type that secures pages and cover together with glue/adhesive at the spine.
WIRE-O BIND
A method for binding loose leaves using a series of metal wire loops formed from a single continuous wire run through punched holes on the binding edge.
SADDLE STITCH
In binding, staples (formed from a continuous wire) driven through the back fold of a booklet, clinched in the middle, and enabling the booklet to open out fl at. The same type of binding can be accomplished with a stapler, using pre-formed staples.
