4-COLOUR-PROCESS
The process of combining four basic colours to create a colour picture. Basic colours are: C (Cyan), M (Magenta), Y (Yellow) and K (Black).
PMS COLOUR (PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM)
An international code of special colours that cannot be reproduced exactly using the CMYK process. This includes metallic and fl uorescent colours. It can be used on its own or as an extra colour on top of the CMYK process.
SPOT COLOURS
Spot Colours are used most frequently for one or two colour jobs or when a colour needs to be produced consistently every time. Logos are perfect examples for spot colours.
